Thanks Anne! There are different sorts of ‘smart’ & each has its role in an asset or strengths based approach to health care. I think the thing we constantly fail to discuss is how smart people and communities are. Not just professionals. Now that’s what I call parity of esteem @heatherhenry4 Heather’s point is that we shouldn't just value the usual skills and nor should we assume who has what! @Anniecoops Tell us your story below ...

And are you sure this will engage nurses in social care sufficiently well? They're so often a forgotten minority but doing hugely responsible and valuable work. There are more nurses on the NMC register working outside the NHS than in it. We need the whole picture of perceptions @DrDavidFoster I am sure the key national players in the sector will offer help to establish those links and make this a comprehensive and inclusive project. Proactively forge good relationships between the NHS and schools. Maybe have a national poster or flyer promoting nursing and midwifery as a career in Acadamys and 6th forms. Promote the opportunity for work experience weeks. Be visible and accessible to the careers officers in schools. Describe your story ...

Give nurses and midwives the tools and technology needed to provide more person centred, effective care. For example, skype and facetime to enable them to utilize the possibilities of remote calls and telehealth. Phones and tablets that support this technology. Access to social media and YouTube etc (this is often blocked but useful information and relationships can be found there). Please add your story below:
