Perceptions of Nursing and Midwifery

My favourite thing about being a nurse by Daniel Gooding

What is my favourite thing about being a nurse? What is my favourite thing about being a nurse? It could be the knowledge of learning how people work, inside and out. It could be administering to the sick, serving those in need. It could be that nurses influence policy at local, national and international levels. It could be that nursing research is making strides and breaking down barriers. It could be about not being sat at a desk with every day being different. It could be the power to uplift and advocate for those who need the support. It could be being a part of the most trusted profession in the world, supporting people in their most vulnerable state. It could be the perfect mix of compassion and scientific knowledge. The thing about nursing is that it is such a high skilled profession with amazing & diverse opportunities that could take me anywhere in the world.

I believe nursing is the most fulfilling profession there is. We are required to develop a high standard of knowledge then use our heads, hands and hearts.

Thanks for reading. Yours in nursing.
