Perceptions of Nursing and Midwifery

What is the prize?

Professor Jane Cummings, Chief Nursing Officer for England will be launching the hackathon online at 10am on Monday 14 May.

There will be a review process at lunchtime on 15 May where the top four teams will be selected. The final four teams will present virtually to a judging panel at 3pm on 15 May. The winner will be announced during the Mona Grey lecture at the RCN Congress, which starts at 5.45pm on 15 May.

All of the hackathon teams will be featured in a national report. The winning team will be supported to travel to London on a date that works for the team, to have a tour of parliament and a face to face coaching session with Jane Cummings and other senior leaders. An article will be written about them for nursing press and a blog for the NHS England website.

The proposals from the winning team will be implemented as part of the national campaign for transforming the perceptions of nursing and midwifery.
